Meet My New Action Figures!

A couple of weeks ago I bought these new dolls  I mean Action Figures from an on-line miniatures show.  The artists are the mother/daughter team of Paola e Sara.  They had an incredibly vast collection of dolls --there must have been a hundred to chose from-- all meticulously cataloged in order from the Medieval period up to the present day.  There was a stunning collection of doll-sized Gone With the Wind gowns (the 1850s being among the artist's favorite eras).

Paola was extremely accommodating with my request to exchange one doll's costume for another. Her prices were more than reasonable to begin with, yet she still insisted on giving me a discount for buying three dolls --and she did not charge me for shipping them all the way from Italy!  They arrived halfway around the globe in less than a week. Amazing!

We're already talking about additional ensembles for my new dolls!

The sale is over, but you can check out Paola & Sara's creations and email them with inquiries.

Thank you, Paola and Sara!  I heart my new dolls!

What wonderful little people--now you can talk to them as well as "Mrs. Thorne"! (I am a great believer in talking to the little people.)

Cheers,
Iris

You will have lots of fun getting the boys into new situations. Don't make them do anything you would not do!

Tip for you, go to a website and copy the address to your clipboard...(control C works) while you are creating your blog posting type in the name of the company or artist then highlight it and click on the icon up top for creating a link, paste in the web site and hit enter. That creates a clickable link from your words in the posting. Do the same thing even if you are posting a website address, highlight it and click the link icon and paste in the address. Now it too is a direct link.

Hey John,

great dolls!! what a good find! I checked out the website, plenty of good dolls to choose from there too.

I've also taken note of the gorgeous room behind the dolls! Is the Drawing Room now finished? It looks fab, even Hercu-less looks at home there!!

You need a little Scarlet now to fiddle-de-de into the house and slam the door!! ;)

Enjoy the weekend!

Hugs

Thanks for the link. I love what you selected. She has some wonderful costumes on there! I have always had this hang up of putting people in my miniature scenes. In my warped mind, it takes away from the realism of the scene because most of the people don't look real. I guess If I could find some realistic looking people I might get over that? btw... my favorite Gone with the Wind Costume is Carol Burnett's version with the curtain rod and tassles! Bob Mackie was a genius.

Hey John
Your new dolls are great, good choice! The little details in their costumes is incredible, and their faces have such cute expressions. I loved the two merry men of Merriman Park and hope they haven't been relogated, but the new "people" give the room a lot more character if you know what I mean.
I can't wait to see how thing go with your Dining Room. I really like the peach coloured stripe wallpaper you have chosen.
Take care
Si -x-

Wonderful New "people" for your house, John! (As you know, I am a fan of having little people in my houses!) I didn't go shopping on that Internet Fair.... too much need to SAVE the cash at the moment!
These fellows look to be late Eighteenth/very early Nineteenth century...? Jane Austen era...? Are you making your house a Period house? I DO Hope you will let them tell us their stories....! :):)

Hello my lovely,

I just sat down to come back to your blog and noticed you have left me a comment - thank you my dear!

I looked in this morning and couldn't access the paola e sara site so I have just tried again and found it. Wow what a lot of gorgeous dolls and so reasonably priced!

I love your little group, they look perfect, I can't wait to hear all about them, who are they and what are their names?

It has been a bit hectic around here so I will be dropping you a line very soon......; )

Love always, Fi xx

Hi John,
What a terrific find! I'm usually very critical about dolls. I think the ones you chose are great. I can't put my finger on it, but they have a quality in their face I find just beautiful. It's as though they have their own character and you know the minute you look at them. Very good choice my friend.
Hugs,
Honey Badger
