HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Well, it seems I am spending the last few days of 2011 and the first few days of 2012 battling the flu.  A particularly gruesome strain, I'm afraid.  I'll spare you the gory details.

New Year's Eve was spent curled up in front of the teevee machine watching all sorts of enthralling shows about how the world is either A. coming to an abrupt end next December 21st, or B. we're entering a new, Golden Age. It all rather depends on which soothsayers you believe, and whether your chakras are all aligned and you don't have any leaks in your aura.

So now I guess the pressure is on to finish Merriman Park before the sky falls.  I just hope that this flu clears up before the impending Apocalypse as I would be loathe to face Doomsday with a green face and a bilious stomach .

Jajaja!!

Bless you, John. Sending best wishes from the other side of the Pond. My last few days of 2011 and first of 2012 were spent agonising over whether to install a corridor!! I realise how sad that sounds, but it's stressful stuff!
I hope you get better soon Hun.
Happy New Year -x-

Gee you are off to a great start in 2012, in pain, puking and morose!

Well it can only get better and here is hoping that will happen soon. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Poor darling,

Mia and i have struggled with something similar for weeks, I'm over it burt not Mia.

I do hope you get over it soon, "Mankua Honey" I'm not sure if you know of it but it has awesome healing properties.

It usually happens when you are run down.....trying to do too many things. Relax and don't be "Chicken little"
Dont watch TeeVee it's media propaganda, I just stick my head in the sand ....it's soooo much healthier!!! I'm married to a banker so you can imagine the tone around here......any wonder I stick my head in a doll House........Oh Dear I think i am beginning to rant!!!! It must be the heat! 40 degrees...........UGH!!!

Get better darling and I sympathise completely!!

ML Fi xx

John my friend,
So sorry to hear of your "flu".
You are handling it with your usual, wonderful sense of humor...
Rest up and feel better soon!

Feel better. Is there anything worse than the stomach flu?

Instead of watching trash on TV you could read this adorable children's book: The Sixty Eight Rooms (about the Thorne Rooms) at the Art Institute of Chicago. I am doing a post this week on it...

Thanks, all, for your concern and well-wishes. I've definitely turned a corner and feel better today --can even eat and drink, again! Still tired, though.

Fi, I hope you and Mia shake off whatever it is you have, soon!

Hi, Sophia! I wrote about that book myself! Here's the link to the older post:

Hi Jeri! No need to make chicken soup! (I still have the lasagne)!
